Committee Responsibilities

 Coordination of the process of the elaboration of the JIM and the NAP/incl. Among all government departments;  Ensuring involvement of all relevant institutions in the process;  Jointly responsible for the formulation and subsequent implementation of a comprehensive policy on combating social exclusion and its constituent factors.

Rights and purpose

 The members are permitted and encouraged to establish specialized working groups on particular problems  Others stakeholders should be included  Groups should contribute to the overall strategy on social inclusion

Strengths

 a Committee backed up with terms of reference approved by the Czech Government  Involvement of different kinds of actors

Weaknesses

 Different levels of involvement by members  Short time frame available for volume of work

NAPincl. Development and Involvement

     The NAPincl. is being elaborated by chapters Relevant partners are being asked to write their inputs to particular chapters The entire Committee on Social Inclusion then comments on each chapter Revised version of each chapter is placed on the website of the MLSA ( www.mpsv.cz

) Information about the NAP/incl. and about the placement of particular chapters on the MLSA website is also published on the website for NGOs www.ngo-eu.cz

Future Developments

 Encourage Czech Bodies both Governmental and Non Governmental to continue with process of their own accord  Key Ministries to establish Long Term Working Groups on specific issues  Increased NGOs involvement  Building on twinning experiences
