5.0 LECTURER RECORDS
5.1 LECTURER RECORDS
This module
shows a list of all lecturers with (their
full names, users names, emails, faculties, departments)
To view a selected lecturer details from lecturer records, apply the
following steps:

Note:
you can double click on the selected lecturer to veiw his/ her details
4.6 ATTENDANCE MARKING
can only be accessed by the academicians
(Lecturer/Tutor).
They use this module to mark and delete their student’s attendance.
Attendance is mark one by one (per student) but delete attendance
will delete whole student attendance for the selected group.
If none Tutor role trying to access this module, they will notify by
this message.
This Attendance Module also include Attendance Notification that
will be send to student via email. The rules are different between
Master and Bachelor Level.
For Master Level:-
i. 1 times class absent: Gives warning email
ii. 2 times class absent: Gives an prohibit from attending final exam
email
For Bachelor Level:i. 2 times class absent: Gives first warning email
ii. 3 times class absent: Gives second warning email
iii. 4 times class absent: Gives an prohibit from attending final exam
email
4.6.1 HOW TO MARK ATTENDANCE
1. From
module, click on
and the system will show that Tutor’s particulars only.
For example:
Tutor username is Hadi.
System will only show the subject(s) that will be teach by him
for selected semester. Different semester chose will shows
different subjects:

For example: FEB2010B
3. Select subject
For example: EMET1033-Research Methodology
4. Click on

6. Scroll down the page to view the legend

8. Mark the attendance one by one (per student)
Tick any of these accordingly (Choose 1 ONLY )
Note:
Only 1 checkbox can be ticked at one particular date for each
student
For example:
Mark attendance for students in group L5BDW001
9. Choose date
For example: 05/05/2010
Note:
If you forgot to set the date, no any attendance is created even
after you tick the attendance and click the
button
10. Put remark beside the student attendance if necessary.
Each student has their own remark column.
11. Scroll down the page and click on
the changes
button to save
12. System will show this message if the changes has
successfully done.
Notes:
i.
shows that attendance for
this group has just been created
ii.
shows that the
attendance for this group is already exists but has been
changed
iii. Changes for all group has been notify through this
message
13. Continue updating attendance for the other class or
tutorial.
14. Scroll down this page and click
System will reroute you back to this page.
15. Click
on your desired attendance and follow the
steps of HOW TO MARK ATTENDANCE
4.6.2 HOW TO DELETE ATTENDANCE
1. From
page, choose which attendance to delete.
For example:
Attendance for group L5BDW001
1. Click
beside group name, L5BDW001

Click
and all ticked checkbox will be cleared for that
particular attendance.
This message is to show that the attendance has been successfully
deleted
Notes:
i. Once you click on
all attendance for
that selected group will be deleted
ii. No need to click on
attendance
button to save this deleted
4.6.3 HOW TO SEND ATTENDANCE EMAIL
NOTIFICATION TO STUDENT
1.
From this page, choose student that is taking Bachelor subject
then click on
link to send an email to the student.

The system will then prompt some confirmation dialog

Check your email inbox to see the copy of attendance warning.
You will see something like this is the email sample.
Note:
i. Lecturer for that particular subject will also get an email for records
purpose.
ii. Note that the entire email is auto generated by the system.
iii. Please make sure your email record in CMS is correctly defined.
4.This message shown that the email has been successfully sent to the
student
5.
You can send the same email for the second time.
Note:
The option to send
will appear ONLY when:
i. The student already absent 3 times
ii. The lecturer had sent the first warning
6. You can prohibit the student from exam by sending prohibit email
Note:
An option to send will appear ONLY when:
i. The student already absent 4 times or more
ii. The lecturer had sent the first and second warning
Note:
An option to send
will appear ONLY when:
i. The student already absent 4 times or more
ii. The lecturer had sent the first and second warning

From this page,
you can click on this Matric Number link to view student record.
This student record is opened in new page (tab)

button and the system will show this page.

Make your necessary setting on the
dialog box

and the system will show a dialog box for the printing
progress
Note:
You can directly print the page without viewing it first but it is
recommended to view the page first before print it out
