Overview 2013
About NAWBO – Philadelphia
The Philadelphia chapter of the National Association of Women Business
Owners (NAWBO‐Philadelphia) received its charter in 1983.
Our chapter has approximately 150 members in Philadelphia and its four
surrounding counties. Additionally, our newsletter attracts a readership of
nearly 3,000 professionals in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Over the last ten years, our chapter has taken entrepreneurial excellence to
the next level through our charitable endeavors. By partnering with our
South Jersey and Delaware sister chapters, we brought the Athena
PowerLINK® program to the Delaware Valley. We then expanded our reach
by forming the Greater Philadelphia Foundation for Women Entrepreneurs,
a 501(c)3 organization.
