Nonfiction: real (true)
Types of Fiction:
1. Historical Fiction: Occurred in the past.
Characters are either imaginary or real and
the plot is based on a real event in history.
2.Realistic Fiction: Occurs in present.
Characters, setting and situations that may
take place during the current time period.
3. Science Fiction: Occurs in the future.

or puzzle to figure out. It includes clues,
tricking and leading to a solution.
5. Myth: a story that uses gods/goddesses to
explain something in nature

7. Folk Tale: a story that teaches a moral. There
are usually talking animals.
8. Legend: a story that has been passed down
through generations. It usually teaches a
lesson.
9. Drama: presents the actions and words of a
character for a stage. Usually arranged in acts
and scenes.

analyzes and gives information about a topic
4.Journal/Diary: a written account of events.
