property tax and vehicle
registration combined as one
payment

the effort,
partnering with
DOR and
counties
Our
Approach
Building a
partnership
between the NC
agencies and the
counties
LPAs will collect the
combined payment for
registration and vehicle tax
at their locations.
Credit Card payments
will also be accepted.
Dealer can allow citizen to “opt
out” of paying taxes at time of
purchase and temporary tags
will be issues until the vehicle
tax is paid.
