YEAR 8 EOTC PROGRAMME

EOTC WEEK PART 1 4-8 MARCH 2013

• BEACH EDUCATION - MURIWAI • 4 day rotation • 2 classes per day except Fri 1 class

EOTC PART 2 26-29 NOVEMBER 2013

• 3 day rotation – 3 classes per day

EOTC PART 1 Beach Education - Demonstrating confidence and skill when in water.

- Knowledge and learning safety skills - Developing an understanding of ‘SurfSense’.

BEACH ED DAY Part 1 REVIEW THEORY -Surf Life Saving Guards run the programme. Part 2 ACTIVITIES - Beach - Water

GEAR LIST Appropriate summer clothing -shorts/t-shirts -jandals/sports shoes -Swim suit/Wet suit/Rash vest -Hat -Sunblock -Lunch/drink

PARENT/CAREGIVERS HELPERS

•Help alongside teacher with supervision • if you have particular qualifications eg. Medical training/Instructors/stuntperson etc. let us know!

•maybe expected to participate in actual events •If possible help on other days
