Olympics in 2012 are taking place in London.
London has hosted Olympic Games also before, in 1908 and 1948.
Each time, London left its mark on the Olympic movement with their innovative approach. In 1908 the first time the Olympic creed that "the most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part" was publicly proclaimed.
