Strategic location

Port of Szczecin is situated on the shortest route to the sea, via inland waterways, for the great industrial and consumption market of Berlin and Brandenburg. Through the Odra river and the Oder-Havel Canal the barge transport reaches directly the majority of shippers and receivers in this area and the west European inland water system as well.

The biggest Polish dry bulk terminal

 specialized in handling of coal and iron ore;  modern and efficient facilities providing handling capacity of loading 2,000 t/hour and discharging 25,000 t/day;  huge storage capacity for up to 1 mio. t. of cargo;  3 berths of max. draught 13.2 m

The largest Polish- and one of the most modern ferry terminals on the Baltic Sea

 the only Poland’s ferry terminal capable of handling railway wagons in a ro-ro mode;  8 departures daily to Sweden and 5 departures weekly to Denmark

Figures in 2009:

515.519 passengers; 201.383 trucks; 172.747 cars; 1.746 buses; 16.885 wagons; 4.8 mio. tonnes of cargo.

in the outer port in Swinoujscie The outer port will create a chance to accomodate larger vessels. Thanks to construction of handling berths for various cargo, e.g. in a ro-ro traffic, the outer port will decisively increase transshipment capacity of the both ports.
