Attended the California Institute of the Arts in Santa Clarita
Burton entered the Disney animation program in his second
year and drafted to join the Disney animation ranks.

• Father of two kids called Nell Burton and Billy Raymond But.

• As a preteen Burton would short films in his
backyard using “crude stop motion” and would use
and 8mm film without sound.
One if his oldest films made was “The Island of Doctor
Igor”, which he made when he was 13.
• While in college one of his classmates was Henry
Selick
– Later on Selick and Burton worked together in The
Nightmare Before Christmas & James and the Giant Peach
