Residents identified a gap in their education:
◦ Identifying early childhood resources


OH AAP Grant: Joint project between the Early Care
and Education Committee and its Young Physicians
Committee
“Helping Parents Make the Best Early Care and
Education Decisions for Their Family”.
◦ 45 minute presentation to residency programs during regular
educational conferences


At least 1 Board Member and at least 1 YP member
at event
Can be model for providing resident education on
variety of topics and networking within the chapter.





Present a “Life after Residency” program to
2nd and 3rd year residents
Coordinate an advocacy project with
residency programs
Establish a chapter newsletter for YPs
Host networking events to learn about the
chapter and meet other YPs






