 Chinna
Kallar is a beautiful hill
resort
 It is situated in Valparai Taluk
of Coimbatore district in
Tamilnadu State.

Chinna Kallar is said to be the wettest
place in Tamilnadu. The annual rainfall is
more than 400cm.
Chinna Kallar is surrounded by slopping
lush green mountain range in all the four
direction and it is a valley.
Wild animals and predators can be seen.
Lodging facility



No Lodge or Rest House of worth is
available. However Tamilnadu PWD is
having an Inspection Bungalow.
The TANTEA administration is
maintaining a Rest House.
Otherwise one has to stay at Valparai
which is 23 km away.




Sholaiyar Dam is an another place of
tourist attraction and a place of scenic
beauty.
One can visit Nirar dam.

The road is not so good. However a careful
drive can take four hour or so to visit all
these places from Valparai. [I mean only
journey time]
Ideal to travel during day time between
0900 am to 0500 pm
Ideal Month March end / early April
Avoid traveling during rainy season
especially during Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct,&
Nov
