SCHOOL-WIDE POSITIVE BEHAVIOR SUPPORT
School-wide PBIS is:
 IS a decision making framework that guides selection, integration,
and implementation of the best evidence-based academic and
behavioral practices for improving important academic and
behavior outcomes for all students.

 Define and teach positive social expectations
 Acknowledge positive behavior
 Arrange consistent consequences for problem behavior

WHAT IS A MIR?
• Minor Incident Report
• Used to communicate with family
• Sample infractions: inappropriate
language, continual calling out, refusal
to work, unsafe or rough play, minor
disruption, disrespect, non-compliance,
etc.
WHAT IS AN ODR?
• Office Discipline Referral
• Used to communicate with family
• Sample infractions: aggressive physical
contact/fighting, property destruction,
threats, theft, chronic MIRs,
student/staff harassment, etc.

**Students will also receive a bracelet if they earn green zone
COLT COUPONS
• Any staff member may give students a coupon
for displaying respect, responsibility, or being
safe
• Students can also give other students or staff
members coupons
• Children take one copy home and the other
goes in a grade level bucket
• Random drawings every other Friday
SPONTANEOUS GREEN ZONE AWARDS
• Random opportunities to celebrate
students currently on green in the
classroom
• Opportunity to talk/reteach yellow and
red students
