Purpose of District L.I.S.D. Cheer Program
 Vertically Aligned Program 7th grade – Varsity
 Support/Promote/Define Spirit Leader and
Athleticism of cheerleading
 Provide district support to the campus for
expectations, behavior, discipline, grading policy,
attendance, etc.
 Provide structure for middle school “mock audition”
and placement to skills-based squads.
 Provide structure for high school cheer tryouts

Tryouts: Willow Springs Middle School
 Rising 7th & 8th Grade “sign-up” cheerleaders will
participate in a Mock Audition in March
 Scores will be used as skill placement for Red and
Black Teams

Safety
 Campus assessments will routinely occur throughout
the year to identify growth and promotion to a squad
with higher skills.
Tryouts: Lovejoy High School
 Squads: Freshman, Junior Varsity & Varsity
 3 Judge Panel selected from nationally recognized
cheer companies such as NCA or UCA
 100 point score sheet, cumulative scores
 Squad decisions will be determined by highest
scores.
 Judges scoring is final.
