etc ...

How can you help your child at
home?
• Establish routines:
– Provide a quiet place for home learning away from the TV and
siblings and at a table
– Encourage them to be physically active, eat well and sleep!
• Read aloud with your children – ask them questions
about what has been read [opinion + why]
• Support Home Learning tasks on a regular basis – little
and often if possible
• Encourage them to tackle tasks independently at first –
then offer support e.g. ‘Let’s look at the example
together’
• Be Practical- hands on learning is best!
Thank you for your support
If you have any questions, feel free to
ask!
