Homework reflects work done in class providing consolidation experiences.

Assignments are set according to content taught.

Diaries & Due Dates

 All students are expected to complete assigned homework by the due date.

 Diaries (digital or hard copy) are used by students to keep track of assessments and homework.

 A term assessment calendar is given with estimated due dates for each assessment.

 To arrive at class prepared with required equipment.

 To complete assigned work set by each teacher.

 To maintain the school image in the community.

Maximise learning time. Service.

 To take care of property - personal, other’s & public.

 To be respectful and truthful.

Detention

 Run by a teacher each lunchtime for students that have not completed required classwork, homework or assignments.

Students who have a note from a parent identifying why they have not completed homework or an assignment are given an additional day to complete the work.

Bullying/Harassment

 PCS has a “Zero Tolerance” of bullying.  If a child is found to be bullying or being bullied, the child will immediately be removed from the area where it is taking place and the incident fully investigated.

 It is important that your child informs teachers of any issues in order for teachers to take action.

 Middle school shirt  Navy cargo shorts  Plain white socks  Black, closed in shoes  A single plain stud earring

Middle School Girls Uniform

 Middle school shirt  Navy dress shorts  Plain white socks  Black, closed in shoes  One pair plain stud earrings

Sports Uniform

 House colour PCS sports polo shirt  Navy sports knit shorts  White socks & black, closed in shoes

No other jewelry is to be worn except a watch.

Camps

 Students go on a 2-3 night camp during Term 3.

 In 2014 the Year 7 class went to Kakadu National Park and the Year 7/8 Class went to Edith Falls (Katherine).

Communication

 Please email your child’s teachers if you have any subject related concerns. They will do the same.

 Email or phone (leave a message with the front office) your child’s Pastoral Care teacher if you have any general concerns or questions. They will do the same.
