“Developing and Assessing Graduates who are ‘Work Ready Plus”
UNU RCE Severn has the pleasure of hosting
Prof Geoff Scott.
The seminar will give an update on developments
underway around the world to ensure that the
graduate outcomes we are giving focus to are the
ones that most count for the coming decades of the
21st century. Particular attention will be given to the
development of graduates who are not just work
ready for today but work ready PLUS for tomorrow
– people who are sustainability literate, change
implementation savvy, inventive and who have a
considered position on the tacit assumptions
driving the 21st century development agenda,
assumptions such as growth is good; consumption
is happiness; ICT is the answer and globalisation is
great. Included will be a review of the top ranking
capabilities of successful early career graduates in
nine professions.
