WHEN IS ONE READY FOR
BAPTISM?
Making disciples….
– And Jesus came & spoke
to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to
Me in heaven & on earth. Go therefore &
make disciples of all the nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father & of the Son
& of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to
observe all things that I have commanded
you; & lo, I am with you always, even to the
end of the age.’ Amen.
Connected to salvation…
– And He said to them, ‘Go
into all the world & preach the gospel to
every creature. He who believes & is
baptized will be saved; but he who does not
believe will be condemned’.
When were the Jews ready?
1. When they were cut to the heart
because of their sins.
2. When they asked what they should do
about their sins.
When were the Samaritans ready?
1. When they heeded the word of God
over the reputation of men.
2. When they saw (or heard about) the
true miracles from God’s
representative.
When was the Eunuch ready?
1. When he showed an interest in being
baptized.
2. When he made a confession of faith
that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
And now why are you waiting?
Arise and be baptized,
and wash away your
sins, calling on the
name of the Lord.
