Introduction
 Beginning in the summer of 2009, I enrolled in the
Education Specialist program for Media/Instruction
Technology. It is my goal to teach distance
education courses. Currently, I hold a Master’s
degree in Middle grades and certification in grades
K-12 in Visual Arts, grades P-5 in Elementary, and
am endorsed in Gifted Education. This portfolio is a
culmination of the courses I have completed, the
skills I have gained, and the knowledge I have
acquired.

 Project 2 in MEDT 8463 (Issues in Instructional
Technology)
 This document assessed my Strengths, Weaknesses,
Opportunities, and Threats. In addition to this I was
instructed to identify personal technology goals, and
to develop a personal technology plan.

 The course work prepared me for future courses with
Microsoft Office software and examined a variety of
technology planning and instructional design

 This course taught me to identify, evaluate, and plan
for the use of new and emerging technology. I
investigated and evaluated trends and issues,
examined and evaluated problems related to
instructional technology and discussed the impact of

 This course focused on innovations and process of
change. In addition to learning diffusion theory, I
was asked to report on a past experience with
diffusion as well as create a plan for future
