Diversity Statement

When the with unwelcome behavior interferes an individual's academic or professional performance or creates an intimidating , hostile or offensive employment, or educational environment .

“No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subject to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”
-Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972 to the 1964 Civil Rights Act
2012 - 40th anniversary of Title IX Known for creating access and equality for women and girls in athletics as well as other facilities and programs Recently the scope of this legislation has been expanded to include campus sexual misconduct.
RETALIATION • • • • NO retaliation against an individual for: Good faith filing a claim of discrimination Instituting any proceeding under or related to state or federal anti discrimination laws Testifying in a discrimination investigation or proceeding Opposing discriminatory actions or practice will not be tolerated.
