On the lower right corner of your screen click on
the wireless network connection icon:
Red X = disconnected
A dialogue box will open.
Choose a wireless network for your location.
DOE uses only secure networks.
Secure network
Not a secure network

Every location has a different network key.

For schools – click here

For other locations, ask an instructor or a tech
person for the network key.

Access to schools wireless network requires
that you know the network name (SSID) and
encryption password (WEP Key) in order to
connect.
The following slide demonstrates the steps to
access the DOE website where you can request
the SSIDs and WEP Keys.
The SSID and WEP key will be emailed to your
Outlook email address: [email protected]

Prior to accessing the DOE site you will need to
provide the following information:

User Name: Central/DOE User ID

Password: DOE email password

Select OK
A drop down menu will allow you to choose your
borough and school.
You will be asked to provide your DOE email user
ID.
The information will be emailed to you shortly
after submitting a request.
Once you have
obtained the WEP
code type it in
the network key areas.
Click on Connect.
