He was graduated from Naval Architecture Department, Technical Faculty of Hasanuddin University. He has already 30 years working in BUMN Galangan Kapal PT. (Persero) Dok & Perkapalan KODJA BAHARI (previously PT. Dok & Perkapalan Tanjung Priok). On this company he ever been worked in several important position as follows : • As a Senior Staff in Marketing and Production Preparation Division. • Production Division, as Project Manager for Ship Repair and then as a Project Coordinator for New building Ship. • Logistics Manager. His other duty are as a Member of Board of Commissary in subsidiary company of PT.Dok & Perkapalan “Kodja Bahari” (PT. DKB) : • PT. Airin (Freight Forwarding and Custom Clearances company); and • PT. Ferosindo (Contractor and Fabrication company) In the last 3 years in his career at PT. DKB, he got opportunity to be a member of Main Team of ISO 9001, and then as a Management Representative. His job was arranging and developing standard documentation in ISO 9001 and implement it into the whole company : Four (4) ship & repair yard in Jakarta and seven (7) outside Jakarta. After resigned from PT. Kodja Bahari on his own accord with pensions right in year 1998, he worked at PT. Acumen Indonesia as a Director. PT. Acumen is a Management Consultant Company with the main business in training & consulting to reach out the certification of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISM Code. This company is an affiliated company of Acumen Business Management Strategies Ltd in United Kingdom. Since April 2000, he was resigned from Acumen and start this PT. Ikhtiar Karsa Mandiri.
