Excel Spreadsheet Break-down This page is for personnel not familiar with Excel spreadsheets 2 – Columns use letters 1 – Rows use numbers 4 – Each sheet (entire page shown) is called a “Worksheet”. 3 – Individual Cells (this one is cell 6 – F). Each cell on the page is referenced by its row number and letter. Next slide begins the Matrix guide training Excel Spreadsheet Start Page The start page worksheet provides the user with helpful information. User should be familiar with steps 1 – 3 prior to proceeding 1 - Instructions and Guidance 2 - Color-Coding legend used in the worksheet 3 - General Notes to help the user and helpful tips To Begin using Matrix, Click the: Enter “The Matrix” in the spreadsheet which will take the user to the next sheet Next slide simulates the hyperlink was clicked Hand PPE Selection Matrix The PPE Selection Matrix page uses rows, columns, color-codes, and hyperlinks to assist the user is selecting the correct glove for use Next slide explains the different rows and columns Hand PPE Selection Matrix The PPE Selection Matrix page is designed to guide the user from chemical Group, Name, Recommendation, and Glove Type. Next slide shows the row and column selection Column M (Multi-Layer Laminate) is YELLOW may also be used. Hand PPE Selection Matrix Following row 14 over to the first GREEN cell (identifies the column that is recommended). Follow that cell up to row 3 provides the user with a glove type (NITRILE (GREEN “OTTO Fuel”) Gauntlet Gloves ). Other glove types that could be used When there is multiple green cells the user has a choice of gloves that may be used. In the example you can see that all but column F could be used. Note: Column M (Yellow) is OK to use as an alternative or in addition to the specific glove. Inside the cell is More Info which is a hyperlink to a new page that provides the user the General Recommendations worksheet that has an even greater break-down of what gloves work best for a specific chemical. Clicking any tab will advance the user to that worksheet.
