What doesn’t change from HPS
Fiber-to-tissue working distance
CW operation – no “flashing” during
vaporization
Instant switching between “vapor” and
“coag” directly controlled by surgeon
using footswitch
Switch between “Ready” and “Standby”
directly controlled by surgeon using

XPS introduces four enhancements
Enhancement:
Benefit:
Industrial Design
• Damage resistant and rugged case
• Shorter time-to-repair
FiberLife™
• Increases fiber longevity
TruCoag™
• Better control of aberrant bleeders
compared to the previous GreenLight
HPS and PV consoles
50% Increase in
Power
• Increased tissue removal rate while
maintaining same safety profile when
used w/MoXy fiber

What is FiberLife™?
FiberLife™ is an automatic safety system that detects
conditions when the cap may overheat and briefly disables the
beam. This keeps the cap temperature within the safe zone!

Charles Chabert
• Handles greater power output
• Higher Joule limit for larger glands
• Similar removal depth between 2090 &
MoXy
• Similar HAZ between 2090 & MoXy
Enhanced Cap •
Stray beams have been virtually eliminated
Active Cooling • Ability to treat large glands with one fiber
Cap (Saline)
• Reduced fiber temperature reduces fiber
divitrification and power degradation
• Minimal loss of vaporization efficiency
throughout duration of procedure
• Fewer cap mechanical failures
Why Does A New Cap Design Matter?
Compared to the 2090 fiber, the MoXy fiber uses a different
technology to attach the fiber cap to the fiber body.

Isn’t Interior Cooling, Cool?
AMS Innovation - Active Cooling Cap ™ (ACC) Fiber
Delivery Device in MoXy.
Saline flows through the MoXy fiber maintaining the temperature of
the fiber body and cooling the fiber tip.

Result/Benefit:
• XPS w/MoXy removes 2x more tissue than XPS w/2090 (50% greater
beam size and power plus reduced devitrification)
Charles Chabert • Ability to treat large glands with one fiber
Summary




First clinical application over a decade ago
 Significant developments
XPS w/MoXy allow procedures to be completed in
significantly less time while maintaining the excellent
safety profile of HPS and PV
FiberLife offers improved fiber reliability and allows
larger glands to be treated with fewer fibers
TruCoag offers better control of bleeders than any
previous GreenLight console
