Instrument Maintenance Technician

Sembcorp UK is a major supplier of industrial utilities to large
international companies on the Wilton International site. We have
invested almost £200 million in renewable energy plus other
asset additions and improvements and hold the Investors in
People award.
We require a time served instrument technician qualified to NVQ
Level 3 with an appropriate ONC or equivalents of these.
The successful candidate will be based in the maintenance team
responsible for instrumentation and control systems on a diverse
range of plant covering gas turbines, biomass and coal fired
boilers, alternators and a steam distribution network.
Health, Safety and the Environment are a priority at Sembcorp and
knowledge of hazardous area requirements, safety instrumentation
functions and a commitment to working to the appropriate standards at
all times is essential.
Generally you must be a good communicator with a methodical approach
to fault finding, have the ability to work using your own initiative as well
as part of a team and have good IT skills.
This is a full-time, permanent role working the equivalent of 41½
hours per week working Monday to Friday (days)

You must have the right to live and work in the UK
Duties include maintaining electronic/pneumatic instrumentation
and control valves from a range of manufacturers, loop checking,
calibration, stroke testing, instrument trip & alarm testing and fault
finding on complex systems. Experience of emissions monitoring
instrumentation, gas detection equipment and condition
monitoring systems would also be ideal but for the right candidate
training will be given as required
