Teacher Functions
Teacher Functions in OAS
• Create Tests
• Assign Tests to a Class
• View Reports of Student Performance
To create a test using the Item Bank,
select the Tests tab
Select Create a new test
Give the test a
name, a unique
identifier, and
choose any
other desired
options for the
test, then click
Submit
Choose a subject for the test
Choose the grade level from which to
choose the items
Choose a Standard
Note: All ELA and Math items for Grades 1-8 have been realigned to the new
Common Core Standards (CCGPS); items can be selected by Standard and SubStandard. Other subject areas remain aligned to the Georgia Performance Standards
(GPS) where Domain, Standard, and Element can be selected.
Choose a Sub-Standard
Click Show Items
From the list of available items, select (by checking
the box to the left of the item) the items to include
in the test
Once items have been selected, click Add
Selected to Test
Additional items can be added by clicking
Add Items or if no more items are needed,
select Create Test
Once tests are created, they must be assigned to students.
To assign a test, select the Tests tab. Select Assign
test(s) to class(es).
Select the letter that begins the name of the class
to which you want to assign the test.
Then select the class name from the list of
available classes
To assign a test, click New.
Click on the test(s)
you want to assign
(from the list of
tests you own or
from the list of test
created by other
users) and set any
parameters for the
assignment.
Note: Tests can be assigned on Mondays-Fridays
during certain hours by specifying dates and times
in the Dates Test(s) can be taken and the Time
Test(s) can be taken areas. For example, if
times of 8:00am and 3:00pm are entered, then the
test is only available during school hours for the
specified dates.
Click Submit to
complete the
assignment.
To view reports of student performance on
teacher-assigned tests, select the Reports tab.
Click the radio button next to Teacher/
Classroom Level Reports.
Select the name of the report that you
want to view
Select the name of the class from the list of
available classes
Select the test on which you want to report
Select/Deselect any students that do not need
to be included in the report, then click Generate
Report
Note: The option is available to Select All or Deselect All students. If
Deselect All students is chosen, you can then select students individually
to be included in the report.
