COMMANDANT’S INTENT
– Purpose. To inspire the teams to achieve military
excellence in their chosen profession through a
rigorous physical, mental and leadership challenge.
– Endstate.
• All teams safely and successfully competed in a challenging
military skills competition.
• Cadets of all teams inspired about the profession of arms
and are strengthened in their technical/ tactical experiential
base in preparation for future Army service.
• Teams have a better understanding of foreign military
capabilities and established stronger bonds between US
coalition partners, foreign academies, and foreign armies.

TEAM TASKORG
• Team Construct
– 11 personnel per team
– Competing SQD Construct - 9 personnel
(including 1 x Female). To include:
• One first or second class cadet as squad
leader.
• One cadet from each of the other 3 classes.
• The 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th members may
come from any class
• 2 x alternates undertake external Training Wk
and are available to undertake role of
replacement at end of Day1

EXECUTION
• Competition format on close hold until
execution from ALL competitors
• Training guidance key to preparation
– Focus on previous year’s competition will lead to
failure
– Focus on skills necessary to achieve BOLC-A tasks
highlighted in Training Guidance required for
competition success.
– Pressure will be applied on SQD LDRs to receive
orders, plan and issue instructions to their SQDs.
– SQD LDRs will be given time to conduct TLP (or
equivalent) to improve SQD performance.

Challenge Officer observes all teams execution
If SQD LDR makes a challenge, the Challenge Officer makes
adjudication on the spot.
– Outcomes:
• If challenge upheld team event score scrubbed. Average of all final
scores given for event.
• If challenge rejected – unsportsmanlike behavior penalty given to
team reducing overall performance.
