Competence of Testing & Calibration Laboratories”
Chemical Metrology Committee
Charter
Serve as a forum for information exchange among
calibration laboratory managers and staff on chemical
metrology issues at both the national and international
level. Provide communication and information for
member organizations with regard to chemical
measurement traceability, uncertainty analysis,
standards availability, documentary standards
development and distribution, accreditation needs and
requirements, benchmarking criteria and schedule, and
interlaboratory comparisons.

•Goals:
– Increase Committee Membership
– Form working groups to address issues:
• Chemical Traceability
• Uncertainty Analysis
• Documentary Standards • Interlaboratory Comparisons
• Accreditation Needs & Requirements
– Hold two committee meetings each year:
• NCSLI Conference and PITTCON
– Obtain participation from Clinical, Forensic, &
Environmental Labs; National Metrology
Institutes; Regulatory Agencies; etc.
