1. Check listings on CURF and SER often 2. Ask your professor if they have an opening 3. Apply for as many positions as you can 4. Read relevant journal articles/attend science journal meetings 5. Pick projects/research labs you’re genuinely interested in
6. Do your research and prepare insightful questions 7. Start during your freshman year or the summer afterwards 8. Dress appropriately for your interview 9. Thank the PI afterwards through email 10. It’s okay to decline an offer!
