Dear Mr. Weatherby,
These days, it's not enough to generate great results. You need
to reduce costs as well - and without impacting quality of service.
Over the last twenty years, I have focused on delivering great
service while constantly refining processes and reducing
costs. Because I'm flexible, I can both manage and roll up my
sleeves and physically do whatever it takes to complete the task
at hand. I'm familiar with technology; I can implement the newest
methods and processes. I've consistently reduced on costs at
my current company - and I'd like the chance to do the same for
you.

My expertise is making sales and increasing revenues!
If you believe your company could benefit from an Outdoor Sales
Representative with a solid track record of success in the construction
industry, then I believe you will be interested in what I can offer your
company.
A great salesperson requires a number of key skills and qualities,
among them strong negotiation and communication skills,
determination, professionalism, assertiveness, and a goal-oriented
approach. My success has been founded on demonstrating these
qualities and abilities: however, true sales success is measured in
results:
-
Increased sales by 30% for Florida-based manufacturer and
supplier of roof trusses and floor joists
Added over 30 new accounts and over $3 million to bottom
line results in just under 3 years with a newly established paver
installation company
I'd like the opportunity to show you how you can put my
experience to work for you. I'll call you on Monday morning to
arrange an appointment. If this time isn't suitable for you, please
feel free to call me at (772) 234-5678 with a time that would be
I am a results-driven and highly self-motivated professional, and I would

I'm excited about your company, and I look forward to

Cover Letters
• 1. Attempt to find out the interviewer’s real
name. Most will just write “To Whom it
Concerns.” This is both impersonal and
therefore shows a lack of real research.
• 2. Place the title of the position here. You
want to show that you have read the
position’s description and have written a
unique cover letter.
Cover Letters
• 3. If you don’t have experience, then write
something here about a quality or an
experience that you think will make you stand
out. This should be your strongest quality of
them all since this is the first paragraph. In
most cases, the interviewer will only read the
first paragraph, so this needs to be your best!
Cover Letters
• 4. Research and find something the
organization is involved in. Have they won an
award? Do they have a new project they are
starting? Is there a quality or standard that
they talk about on their website? If so, then
write about that and then in the second part
of the sentence give them a reason to believe
you will belong in that organization and
further help them accomplish or maintain a
specific goal.
Cover Letters
• 5. Every job description will have certain
qualities that they are looking for. Insert those
here, and then finish the sentence with an
explanation as to why you already have those
qualities.
• 6. Make sure your email is professional. If you
email is not professional enough, it is very
easy to create a free Gmail address and have it
redirect to your personal account.
