Interdisciplinary Science (ISFY) Earth and Environmental Sciences (EEFY) Studies in Science (SIS) About Foundation Years Key Facts (SIS/ISFY/EEFY) Essentially 4 year extended degree One year, full-time programme taught by LLC Upon successful completion progress to degree in Faculty/School at UL Supportive environment Integrated academic skills Reduced fees for low income households About Foundation Years Who is ISFY/EEFY for? Non-traditional students to the University Provide opportunity for those who not achieved because of their circumstances – have academic potential but not yet ready for HE Priority given to students who meet specific WP criteria SIS Foundation Year Who is SIS for? More traditional student with aspirations to study at University Provide opportunity for those who have academic potential but have taken the wrong A-levels for direct entry Conversion Programme SIS Foundation Year Entry requirements 1. GCSE A* - Cs: English/Science at least C and B in Maths 2. ABB A-Levels (non-science) 3. NO Widening Participation (WP) Criteria SIS Foundation Year Application Process 1. UCAS Application 2.
