ALL MY FAULT?
Call and Response
The guinea pig has fleas,
there are grass stains on my knees,
AND IT’S ALL MY FAULT?
There’s mustard on the floor,
and flies came in the door,
AND IT’S ALL MY FAULT?
The milk is warm and sour,
all the bread has been devoured,
THAT TOO IS ALL MY FAULT?
Why, when I walk into the room,
do you always start to fume
LIKE IT’S ALL MY FAULT?
Did I cause the national debt?
The creeping ozone threat?
IS THAT ALL MY FAULT?
How ‘bout overpopulation?
Did I pollute the habitation?
IS THAT ALL MY FAULT?
Was I born to take the blame?
A guilty face to fit your frame?
LIKE, THIS IS ALL MY FAULT?
I didn’t make the traffic slow,
but that delinquent video
is mine.
That one is all my fault.

You’ve Got Rhythm
The dog ate my homework.
You’ve heard that before?
This one ate the table,
then chewed through the door.

COPYCAT
I’m serious.
Don’t copy me.
I mean it now.
You let me be.
I’m outta here.
Don’t follow me.
I’m warning you.
Stop.
Stop.
STOP.
Stop that.
No fair.
You started it.
I’m serious.
Don’t copy me.
I mean it now.
You let me be.
I’m outta here.
Don’t follow me.
I’m warning you.
Stop.
Stop.
Stop that.
No fair.
You better quit.

Harlem
by Langston Hughes
What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore –
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over –
like a syrupy sweet?
Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.
Or does it explode?
