NCAA Eligibility

Freshmen and Sophomores Must:
Work hard to get the best grades possible
Take classes that match Lincoln’s NCAA
list of core courses
If you fall behind, make an appointment
with your guidance counselor to make a
plan to catch up
Juniors must:
Register to take the SAT , ACT or both and
use the NCAA eligibility code “9999” as a
score recipient
Prior to registration for senior year, check
with your counselor to determine the
number of core courses that need to be
completed in your senior year
Register with the clearinghouse and send a
transcript @ www.eligibilitycenter.org
Academic Requirements for an
athletic scholarship at Div I or II
Graduate from high school
Complete NCAA approved courses
Earn a minimum core-course grade point
average (GPA)
Earn a required SAT or ACT sum score
Div. I Core Course Requirements
4 credits English
3 credits Math (Algebra I or higher)
2 credits Science
1 additional credit in Eng., Math or Science
2 years of Social Science
4 additional credits from any above or
foreign language
Division II Requirements
16 Core Courses
3 credits English.
2 credits math (Algebra I or higher).
2 credits science
3 additional credits in English, math or science.
2 credits social science.
4 years additional credits (from any area above or
foreign language)
NEW for Current LHS Sophomore &
Freshmen! Changes for students
enrolling on or after August 1, 2016
Minimum core-course GPA of 2.300 required;
Change in GPA/test score index (sliding scale); and
Ten core courses required before the beginning of
senior year.
7 of the 10 core must be Eng, Math, or science
Grades earned in 10 courses before senior year are
“locked in” for purposes of GPA calculation
