 Structured, part-funded, programmes addressing strategic
requirements at an innovative and challenging level
 Partnership between a company and a university
 New skills and ideas into business through a graduate
 Access specialised knowledge and technology

How do KTPs operate?
 26 week to three year programme
 Full-time ‘Associate’ (graduate) based in
company
 Two days per month expert academic support
 Budgets for training, equipment and travel
How do KTPs operate?
 Administration/financial support
 Access to University equipment and resources
 Government grant to subsidise cost to
company
 60% subsidy for first time SMEs
 40% for non-SMEs
