Shared Financial System
SALARY ENCUMBRANCE
OVERVIEW
January 8, 2002
Presented by Lynn Quamme
Overview
 Salary Encumbrances for some Business Units are currently
maintained in legacy using EPRQ
 Detail payroll, salary liquidations, and summary fringe data
now flow thru the legacy accounting system into SFS.
 We are developing a web-based replacement for EPRQ for
fiscal year 2003 salary encumbrances.
 Functionality is modeled after EPRQ.
 Target date for production is Spring 2002.
 In the new system, detail is maintained in a subsidiary
ledger; summary is posted to SFS General Ledger.
 Drilldown to detail will be provided in WISDM.
