1. An Emergency Commences.

A pull station will be pulled to set off the alarm

Put on orange vest & make yourself
visible.
Commence evacuation in your suite.
Insure that evacuation is commencing in
an orderly fashion.

Monitor Responsibilities
If at all possible, leave doors closed but unlocked.
Take special needs person(s) from your suite only to
designated safe area on your floor.
Primary Floor Warden, account for who is in your
safe area from your floor and complete form at the
safe site when floor is cleared.
Note: Honolulu Fire Dept. (HFD) will only assist in
evacuating areas that HFD deems necessary.

3. Proceed into stairwell.
Stay to the right & hold the railing.

If stairwell becomes unusable, leave at closest
exit & proceed to alternate stairwell.
Only proceed to a higher floor or the roof if
instructed to do so through the emergency
broadcast system.

Check restrooms by knocking on doors and
stating “emergency” in progress.
Proceed to exit via stairwell.
