Standard Code of Dress


Shirts: Any solid colored polo or collared
shirt (shirts should not have logos, stripes,
etc.)
Pants/Shorts/Skirts: Navy, black, or khaki
Dress Down Days

Students will have opportunities to
dress down.
Schedules


Students will receive their schedules
in the mail approximately 1 week
before school begins. Opportunities
to visit the campus will be provided
prior to the first day of school.
Please come with your child the first
day and celebrate his/her first day
of middle school – August 18, 2009.
Course Selection Sheets

Soon you and your child will be
choosing his/her classes for 6th grade.
The course selection sheet looks like…..
Discipline – Folder System

All teams will work on the folder system.

Behavior addressed
 1st time: Warning
 2nd time: In Class Isolation
 3rd time: Out of Class Isolation
During Out of Class Isolation, students will
complete a folder of questions. Parents
will be contacted after each folder. After
the third folder, a parent conference will
be requested.
Once Students have received 3 folders,
students will be sent to the assistant
principal’s office with a referral.
Transportation Information


DCMS will open at 7:45
a.m.

Students will begin to
transition to their
homebase at 8:20 a.m.



Class begins at 8:30
a.m.
Car-riders should
enter/exit via the Mt.
Gallant Road entrance.

The Car pool lane is
behind the school.
Parents should
enter/exit via the
Museum Road entrance.
Bus-riders should
enter/exit via the
Museum Road entrance.
