about our training program.

the subjects covered by the program,
individual course details, and the

QBI, The Training Institute, Inc. (QBITTI) is licensed
by the New York State Education Department: Bureau
of Proprietary School Supervision.
The Plumber’s Helper Training Program is designed to
teach students, with little or no
previous experience, the
skills necessary to become
an entry-level plumber.
Students interested in this program must have handson skills, the ability to distinguish between colors,
Little or no mobility restrictions, and the ability to both
climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
Students begin by learning
basic construction techniques.
And progress to building basic
plumbing fixtures and assemblies.
Particular emphasis is
placed on teaching the NYC
plumbing code, among the
most complicated codes
in the United States of America.
Students will learn to “sweat”
Solder copper pipes
and connectors.
Install Basic Plumbing
Fixtures including toilets:
Basins and Sinks:
Tub and Shower Enclosures:
Water Heaters:
Full Bathroom Sets
from Rough-In:
Full Bathroom Sets
To Final Assembly:
Install Kitchen Sinks and Fixtures
And Install both Residential and Commercial Pipes
For Water Supply
And For Drain, Waste and Venting
Our Students spend most of their class time building
plumbing projects
And using specialized plumbing tools;
and equipment.
Daytime classes meet Monday through Friday from
9:00am to 4:00pm for approximately 21+ weeks, for a
total of 630 hours of training.
And classes begin every 7 to eight weeks.
Job Placement Assistance is available to all graduates.
So is Lifetime Placement Assistance.
