By Reynolds Gardiner Grandpa loved Little Willy. He made breakfast for him every morning. They played games and tricks on each other. Grandpa was raising Little Willy. Grandpa wouldn’t get out of bed. Little Willy got a doctor. The doctor told Little Willy that Grandpa had given up on life. He aloes had to learn to play the Harmonica for Grandpa every night. Little Willy had to learn sign language to communicate with Grandpa and he had to take care of the farm to. Harvest the potatoes and taking care of grandpa. Little Willy needed $500.00 to pay the taxes on the farm. Little Willy had five different things he could do. He could take his money out of his college fund, but the banker wouldn’t let him. He could grow more potatoes, but that was to much work for one person. He could sell the farm, but he couldn’t bear to do that. He decided to enter the race. Little Willy met Stone Fox. And Little Willy talked to him. Little Willy said to Stone Fox that they were going to win the race tomorrow we have to win to save the farm. And to get grandpa to fill better. Stone fox hit him .Keep him away from the dogs. I was time for the race Stone Fox started out the last. Little Willy and Searchlight were winning. The road was twisty and had sharp turns. Little Willy kept on saying Go Searchlight Go!. His good eye was frozen shut completely. Little willy could take sharp turns cause he had one dog and a small sled at full speed. Little willy had taken a short cut across the lake Little Willy did not want to get disqualified. Stone fox was picking up speed. Little Willy said Go girl Go! Then searchlight fell they were so close to the finish line. Little Willy hopped off his sled and went to searchlight and stone fox one again. Little Willy carried searchlight across the last 10 feet to the finish line.
