Printmaking
A Process of Art in which designs
are transferred from an inked
surface to a support surface.

a screen to push ink

Lithography
– Drawing a design on a
stone surface
– Using a resist chemical,
ink sticks to drawn lines

A Brief History
• Pre-Historic Cavemen

• 1151- Paper! Invented
by someone in Spain

woodcuts

the color of the paper
• Image on plate will be
reverse on paper
