Csep Nexa Data Analysis Energy Retail Sample Data Sample Included in the sample N.B Energy Retail • All New Connection Change of Responsibilities occurring between Feb 2009 and Aug 2009. • At least 1 year’s consumption data for the above New connections. • Only actual meter readings have been used within the data analysis ( all at least 6 months and a day apart). • Live sites. • Lost sites. • Confirmation pending. • The meter fit data is a floating date. • Property type 4BF (of which there were only 2 instances) were excluded from the sample as it is not represented in the Nexa table. Analysis Raw Data Required • Difference (in days) between the recorded COR Date and next valid read date (no less than 6 months and 1 day apart) • Difference between the recorded COR Read and next valid read • WAALP Data for the date of the COR, and for the valid read date. • WAALP Data for the periods 30/09/09 and 01/10/09. • We require the CWWALP figure to calculate the AQ Value. Example on next slide. • AQ Value (((Units Used * Reading Units * Correction Factor * Calorific Value) / 3.6)*365)/CWAALP. • Working exampled are provided. Formulae • AQ value which can be compared with current CSEP Nexa value Result Definition of terms used in Formula: Units Used = Recorded COR reading minus Installation reading Reading Units = Meter Reading Multiple (as provided by the IGT) Correction Factor = Correction factor provided by the IGT Calorific Value = Average annual calorific value (based on LDZ) CWAALP = Cumulative Weather Adjusted Annual Load Profile Energy Retail CWAALP Calculation To calculate the CWAALP (Cumulative WAALP) figure we require to add up the values between the the 2 delimiting reads. The COR read and the End Read to be used. In the example below we have to calculate the WAALP between COR Date (15/05/2009) and the end of the 1st period (30/09/2009), and the WAALP between the 2nd period WAALP Start Date (01/10/2009) and the WAALP figure at reading date (13/01/2010). We then add the 2 values together to get CWAALP figure. COR Date 15/05/2009 Start WAALP 317.64 CWAALP 207.04 Energy Retail 1st Period End Date 30/09/2009 Period End WAALP 2nd Period Start Date 01/10/2009 Period Start WAALP Read date Used in Calc 13/01/2010 End WAALP 371.57 1st Period End WAALP Less WAALP at COR Date 53.93 0.67 153.78 WAALP at Read Date Less 2nd Period Start WAALP 153.11 Plus Working Example Energy Retail
