What to do if:
ORHS Attendance
You are tardy for 1st period
for more than 15 minutes
• Bring your excuse and have your parents
call ahead to the proper attendance office
to notify attendance personnel.
• You may be counted as truant.
• Serve your d-hall.
• Get on with your life.

You are absent
• Have a parent or guardian CALL
to report your absence.
• Have your parent send a note
with you for the attendance clerk
the day you return.

You are returning after
an absence
• Report directly to the Attendance
office with your note to get an
admit slip for class.
ORHS Attendance
You are reporting to class and
your parent/guardian did not
send a note
• Report to class , with the
understanding that you will be referred
for NON-ATTENDANCE to the
Assistant Principal’s office!

You want to leave school early
• Turn in a signed note from your
parent/guardian to your attendance
office first thing when you arrive in
the morning.
• Bring a note indicating the
Healthcare practitioner’s phone
number.

You want to leave early and
you drove to school
• Any student that drives to school must
follow the same procedure they would if
they had not driven to school.
• You must have a note signed by your
parent/guardian and a phone number
where they can be reached to verify.

You wish to have someone come
check you out of school early
• That person must be on “the list”
(this is not the same as your
Emergency Card contacts) in the
attendance office.
