OST 2910www Medical Terminology I
Instructions:
These visual and audible presentations are arranged by chapter based on Medical Terminology
for Health Professions, 3rd Edition, by Ann Ehrlich. Open MS Power Point. Go to upper left hand corner
(Choose “File”) and choose D:\C2 to load a Chapter ( example C2) when you are ready.
Click on the lower left corner of this slide and select the 5th icon
from the left in that group labeled “slide show” to start the slides for this
chapter. At the first slide, position the mouse arrow anywhere in the middle
of the screen and click the left mouse once to see the first medical term broken
down by syllable and its pronunciation guide. Click on the speaker symbol to
hear the word pronounced and defined. Be sure that your speaker is on (you
can use ear phones if you need to avoid disturbing others) and check the
yellow icon speaker on the lower right of your screen to be certain that it has
not been muted.
Click on the down arrow for the next line and word. When you
reach the last line the slide will automatically advance to the next frame. You
can exit at any time or choose another chapter by clicking on the icon in the
lower left of the screen.
