WorkCover NSW administers workplace safety, injury management and workers
compensation legislation for workers and employers in NSW.
In partnership with the NSW community, WorkCover helps to achieve safe
workplaces, effective return to work and increased security for injured workers.
WorkCover inspectors regularly visit workplaces to check that safety and injury
management systems are in place and that employers have appropriate workers
compensation insurance.

The WorkCover Assistance Service Centre is located at Ground Floor, 92-100 Donnison Street, Gosford,
and is open from 8.30am to 5.00pm weekdays.
The Centre is staffed by WorkCover officers who can assist you with workplace health and safety, workers
compensation and injury management enquiries.
WorkCover has offices throughout the state. A complete list or our regional and local offices can be found on
our website [www.workcover.nsw.gov.au].
WorkCover has 301 inspectors that can discuss improving health and
safety in your workplace. To talk to an inspector, contact your local
office or call 13 10 50.

The WorkCover Assistance Service is a dedicated assistance line available by calling 13 10 50, 8.30am to
5.00pm, weekdays.
The 13 10 50 number is staffed by extensively trained WorkCover officers ready to help you with any query
you may have in relation to workplace health and safety, workers compensation and
injury management.
The WorkCover Assistance Service incorporates the Claims Assistance Service,
a telephone service that helps workers and employers to resolve workers
compensation disputes.
We aim to provide timely and accurate information to workers, employer,
industry and the community.

WorkCover publishes brochures, posters, training kits, codes of practice and safety manuals to provide you
information on a range of workplace safety, injury management and workers compensation issues.
Many of our publications can be downloaded from our website for free at www.workcover.nsw.gov.au. To
view a publication online or on this CD, you will need the FREE Adobe Acrobat Reader.
To install the reader on your machine, open the Adobe Acrobat Reader folder on this CD and
double click the Adobe Reader 6.0.1 icon. This will take you through the installation process.
WorkCover publications are also available in printed format. The first copy of a publication is free,
