Strate's core purpose is to mitigate risk, bring efficiencies to the South Africa’s financial markets and improve its profile as an investment destination. Strate handles the settlement of a number of securities including equities and bonds for the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) as well as a range of derivative products such as warrants, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), retail notes and tracker funds. Recent Achievements Implementation of a fully dematerialised Money Market Instruments System with over ZAR 323.55 Billion (EURO 32.36 Billion) held in Custody. The system is a global first considering the degree of straight-through-processing (STP) that has been built. Strate has become a fully licensed SWIFT Service Bureau, capable of offering a variety of SWIFT-related services to our clients and global custodians. Implementation of a world-class, global best practice Corporate Actions System. System is capable of processing 67 types of Corporate Action events, provider the users with a completely new user interface and offers far greater automation/STP than ever before.
