Veranderingsbestuur
Change management is a systematic approach to dealing with change,
both from the perspective of an organization and on the individual
level. A somewhat ambiguous term, change management has at least
three different aspects, including: adapting to change, controlling
change, and effecting change. A proactive approach to dealing with
change is at the core of all three aspects. For an organization, change
management means defining and implementing procedures and/or
technologies to deal with changes in the business environment and to
profit from changing opportunities

 According to ITIL specifications, the four major tasks of configuration management
are:
 Identification of configuration items to be included in the CMDB
 Control of data to ensure that it can only be changed by authorized individuals
 Status maintenance, which involves ensuring that current status of any CI is consistently recorded and
kept updated
 Verification, through audits and reviews of the data to ensure that it is accurate.
 Glossary
 configuration items: The term configuration item or CI refers to the fundamental structural unit
of a configuration management system. Examples of CIs include individual requirements documents,
software, models, plans, and people. Configuration Management systems oversee the life of the CIs
through a combination of process and tools. The objective of these systems is to avoid the introduction
of errors related to lack of testing or incompatibilities with other CIs.
Change Advisory Board (CAB)
 Wat is dit?
 The change process in ITIL gives the full responsibility to the CAB regarding the assessment and
evaluation of the processes that are submitted and are subjected for approval for its immediate
implementation. The function of the CAB takes place during plenary meetings and not in the
planning process and implementation itself. Its role is limited only for the approval, update and
assessment of the process.
 Wie is dit?
 The board is made up of representatives from all the divisions in the Information Technology
and other representatives coming from the business units and any parties outside the premises of
the organization that are considered if necessary.
