Complete both GACE tests,
a Teacher Education
application form, and have
the program required
minimum GPA to be
admitted.
The Georgia Professional
Standards Commission’s
adoption of new policies
has resulted in changes
to GSU’s teacher
certification program.

All recently admitted
candidates must take
the GACE Ethics
Program Entry
Assessment (350) in
addition to GACE
Program Admission
Test.
•
All recently admitted
candidates must
obtain a Preservice
Certificate prior to a
field placement in a
cooperating
teacher’s classroom.
After admission must apply
for Preservice Certificate.
The Preservice certificate is required
for any field-placements in a teacher
certification program beginning fall
2015. Candidates who do not apply by
posted deadlines will risk postponing
their start date in their teacher
education programs.
