● Every year a committee of Texas
librarians reads over 100 new titles
and selects these books from
established criteria. The list consists
of fiction and non-fiction titles. These
books will be used for the Battle of
the Books Competition.
Battle of the Books
1. Interested students will meet during
Advisory in September to learn how the
competition works, divide responsibilities and
check out books. Listen to the
announcements for the first meeting!
2. Students will meet regularly during Advisory
to discuss books and prepare for competition.
3. Team will be selected. Team will select a
name.
4. Team members will travel to Austin on
February 27 to compete against other
Bookfair
