Now she says she gets an
adrenaline rush every time she comes up to the farm”

Good Practice
Lots of well researched projects;
realistic, manageable, well
organised - putting good reporting
systems in place and then getting
on with the work

Passport to Employment
14 of the 60 groups
and organisations
supported over the
last 4 years have
collaborated to apply
for further EU
funding.
“It was a year well spent for those who engaged with the project and
took the help on offer ... they remain in voluntary work or education ...
and are rebuilding their lives slowly but surely”.

Challenges
Paperwork! Paperwork! Paperwork!
The most difficult question we have to
answer?
Balance right between making sure people
are aware of the requirements, without
putting them off.
True administration costs are hidden.
Small/new/innovative projects inevitably
have teething problems that cause delays
within a tight timeframe.
We want to work
with groups to give
pre-application
advice and to help
them develop their
project so that they
can access the
funding that is
meant for them

What Next?
Take up opportunities to network and build
partnerships
There may be some additional funding: be
prepared for a quick turnaround
