Sizing an Image
Select the image
Sizing handles appear
Eight small black squares indicate the image boundary and
assist you in sizing an image

Increase the width
Decrease the width

Adjust the height and
width at the same

Do This:
Click and drag either the middle-left or middle-right
sizing handle away from the image.
Click and drag either the middle-left or middle-right
sizing handle toward the image.
Click and drag the upper-middle or bottom-middle
sizing handle away from the image.
Click and drag the upper-middle or bottom-middle
sizing handle toward the image.
Click and drag a corner sizing handle at an angle to
adjust the height and width. If needed, hold down Shift
to maintain the image's proportions.

To remove the Drawing Canvas toolbar and the drawing
canvas, press Esc
Do not need the drawing canvas to create a text box
Right-click the border of the text
box, choose Format Text Box, and
the Format Text dialog box will

Description
Displays the WordArt Gallery dialog box, so you can choose
a style and then type WordArt text.
Displays dialog box to edit text, font, and font size.

Displays Gallery to choose a different style.
Format WordArt
Displays the Format WordArt dialog box to change size,
layout, and so on.
Displays palette of various shapes for WordArt.
WordArt Shape
Text Wrapping
WordArt Same Letter Height
Displays list of text-wrapping options, such as Top and
Bottom.
Adjusts WordArt letters so they are the same height.
WordArt Vertical Text
Changes WordArt to a vertical object.
WordArt Alignment
Displays palette of alignment options, such as Stretch Justify.
WordArt Character Spacing
Lets you adjust spacing between characters.
