Dr. Bub Kovacs’
International educational experience for Fall 2007……
Barcelona, Spain
Combine your love of learning with your love of travel!
Join a group of students as we venture to Barcelona, Spain,
cited as one of Europe’s most beautiful and livable cities.
We will be staying at a centrally located hotel within walking
distance of our academic partner the “Centro De Estudios
Superiores” as well as one block from the main shopping,
entertainment and dining district: “La Rambla!”
This will be our third trip to this wonderful coast city. The
program will have as its focus leading in the 21st century,
where jurisdictions have less meaning and direct interorganizational skills are paramount.
This educational travel experience will be offered for both Undergraduate and
Graduate credit in the BAIS and MAS programs, respectively.
For leaders, managers, and supervisors to be effective, they must be aware of the varying degrees of
diversity and the resulting impact on the workplace; this is increasingly important in a global context.
Global Citizenship requires awareness of the challenges globalization presents. Special emphasis
will be placed upon a study of leadership, ethical worldview, communications, and diverse subcultures presented from a global perspective along with political, social, and economic issues.
Comparative studies of the different systems will be the focus of student coursework. This blendedmodel seminar will include various site visits designed to enhance the individuals’ understanding of
the international issues that have a direct and indirect effect on current and long-term goals of an
organization. Class communications prior to traveling will be set in an online format for readings,
preparatory teachings and assignments. Class Topics will include:
